The 4th Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum in collaboration with Dow Jones Islamic Indexes, New York (DJIM), the International Institute of Islamic Finance Inc. (IIIF) and Messrs. Hisham, Sobri & Kadir (HSK) together with the host, Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) was held from 19 – 22 November 2007 at Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The four-day event was a great success with more than 250 participants from all around the globe. The organisers would like to convey our utmost appreciation especially to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, YB Dato’ Sri Mohd Effendi Norwawi  for giving an Official Opening Address officiating the conference.

The organisers also would like to convey our utmost pleasure and thanks to Y.B. Dato’ Dr. Awang Adek Bin Hussin for spending his precious time in launching the 2nd KLIFF Muzakarah for Shariah Advisors 2007. During the event, generally more than 40 local and international expert players in the field from local and international countries were sitting together in discussing any issue in Islamic banking system in order to enhance and improve the Islamic banking system. Thus, we hope with this discussion we can also contribute in helping to prosper and introduce this banking system through out all over the world.
