The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) will be organising Singapore International Waqf Conference which will take place on 6 – 7 March 2007 at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
With the theme “Integration of Awqaf (Islamic Endownment) in the Islamic Financial Sector”, the Conference is expected to lead the way in addressing the challenges of the development and sustainability awqaf for the present and future. It aims to unlocking the potentials of waqf in boosting the Islamic financial sector.
Delegates will hear from over 25 distinguished international and regional speakers who are experts in this field to discuss on how to manage and develop waqf. The Conference is designed to cater for wealth management officers, regulators, finance and economic officers, retail and private bankers, academicians and general public who are interested to explore and gather more knowledge on this development of promising Islamic finance industry.
